The Farnesina hosted a meeting today of the Ambassadors accredited in Rome with President of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Claudio Costamagna who outlined the group’s international activities. The meeting offered an opportunity to examine the CDP’s support for infrastructure investments, its role in the country’s growth and its new skills in matters of international cooperation.
Foreign ministry secretary general Michele Valensise opened the meeting by foregrounding the link with the Farnesina’s efforts in support of the internationalisation of the Italian economy. “Cassa Depositi e Prestiti is a fundamental intersection between economy, finance and cooperation. The Farnesina works in synergy with the CDP and other Italian economic actors in the promotion of our manufacturing system abroad and in attracting foreign investments in Italy”, said Valensise.
Costamagna illustrated the group’s mission and its commitment to financing investments in the public administration and the development of infrastructure. He indicated cooperation abroad as a priority, underscoring support for the economy and development of the national entrepreneurial fabric. The president then took questions and comments from the various foreign mission heads.
