Under-Secretary Giro: democracy strengthened in Burkina Faso

Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mario Giro hailed the proper conduction of elections in Burkina Faso, from which Kaboré emerged the winner. “After 27 years, Burkina Faso has achieved great results in terms of voter turnout. Democracy comes out of this stronger”, Giro commented. “My best wishes go out to President Kaboré for the road ahead, along with hopes that his victory represents an opportunity for national unity”, the under-secretary concluded.
