The Agreement on Mutual Recognition for the Conversion of Driving Licences was signed today in Rome by Deputy Minister Mario Giro and the Brazilian Ambassador in Rome Neiva Tavares.
Holders of a driving licence issued by the relevant authorities of one of the two States, who establish residence in the territory of the other State, will now be able to convert their licence within four years without undertaking practical and theory tests.
This is the first Agreement signed between the two countries during the mandate of President Temer.
The Italian Embassy in Brazil conducted the negotiations with the aim of providing a quick and effective response to the needs of the Italian and Brazilian communities living in the two countries.
