The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, met the Libyan Deputy Premier, Ahmed Maitig, in Tripoli.
The two Ministers confirmed they share a common vision for the development of Libya and are determined to follow up the Italo-Libyan Economic Forum, that Alfano and Maitig co-chaired in Agrigento last July.
“We are aware it is important for Libyan institutions to have financial resources to undertake initiatives to benefit the people of Libya. This is the reason why we continue to support an economic dialogue with a view to enhancing cooperation between the Presidential Council, the Government of National Accord and the Central Bank,” said Minister Alfano.
