Russia, Italian charge d’affaires summoned

The Charge d’affaires with the Italian Embassy in the Russian Federation was called to the Russian Foreign Ministry today, Friday 30 March. The Director of the First European Department (in charge of relations with Italy) gave the Charge d’affaires a Note Verbale formalising Moscow’s decision to expel two senior Italian Embassy officials. The officials were given a week to leave Russian Federation territory.
