Italy welcomes Ethiopia’s recent decision to fully enforce the Algiers Peace Agreement of 2000 and the provisions of the Court of Arbitration regarding the demarcation of the border with Eritrea. It is a significant step that the Italian Government hopes will pave the way for a constructive dialogue between Addis Ababa and Asmara with a view to fostering peace and prosperity to the advantage of the Ethiopian and Eritrean people and of the entire region.
