Manlio Di Stefano, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received at the Farnesina an institutional and entrepreneurial delegation from the Osaka Prefecture led by Governor Ichiro Matsui. The Osaka Prefecture is one of Japan’s most dynamic and appealing regions, especially in spearheading economic sectors and technological research and innovation. The meeting offered the possibility to reaffirm the importance that Italy attributes to the political and economic relations with Japan, which are going through a particularly positive phase.
The Italian Government – Undersecretary Di Stefano told the Governor – encourages Italy’s growing economic presence there and enhances our companies’ interest to make investments in their sectors of interest. Italy confides in a stronger bilateral economic partnership and intends to promote Japanese investments in Italy. Lastly, the Undersecretary recalled that in November Osaka will host the third annual edition of one of the most important promotional events of Brand Italy in Japan: “Italia Amore Mio”.
