Undersecretary Merlo Receives Families of Italian Citizens who went Missing in Mexico in January 2018

The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Sen. Ricardo Merlo, received the families of Raffaele Russo, Antonio Russo and Vincenzo Cimmino at the Farnesina today. The three men went missing in Mexico in January 2018. During the meeting, the Undersecretary reiterated the Italian Government’s resolve in urging Mexican Authorities to continue the investigation into the fate of the three Italian men in a pragmatic and effective manner. He also called on Mexican Authorities to provide timely and complete answers to the requests made by the Italian judiciary regarding the investigation. As a first step in this direction, the Undersecretary will make contact with the Mexican Embassy in Rome.
