Renewal of the Agreement between the IILA and the Latin American Development bank

The Framework Agreement , first signed in 2006 by the Italian Latin American Institute (IILA)  and the Latin American Development Bank (CAF) was renewed at the Farnesina today with a view to giving new momentum and contents to the cooperation between the two institutions. This took place on the occasion of the 9th edition of the Conference that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dedicates to the relationships between Italy and the Latin American and Caribbean countries.

In recent months there have been various institutional meetings that have produced interesting cooperation initiatives in the cultural field (support to the IILA exhibition on Quapaq Nan, the Andes Walk) and in the economic field (participation of CAF in the 5th IILA Forum of SMEs in Padua on 29 and 30 October next.)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marina Sereni, and the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Ricardo Merlo, were the “witness of honor” to the signing of the renewal of the IILA-CAF framework agreement.

“The signing of this agreement is an important step which will be accompanied by a renewed and ever greater commitment of Italy in Latin America” said Deputy Minister Sereni.
