The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fully and constantly committed, through the Crisis Unit and Embassies and Consulates all over the world, to allow the repatriation of Italians stranded abroad.

In the last two days 873 compatriots returned to Italy safely, embarked on 13 special flights from all over the world: European locations such as London, Brussels and Fuerteventura in the Canaries, but also more distant destinations such as Montevideo, Bogota, Santo Domingo, Kingston in Jamaica and New Delhi. A group of compatriots have been guaranteed to return from Kathmandu, Nepal.

In addition, additional flights from Egypt and Cuba operate currently, as well as a ferry from Greece. This brings to about 92,200 people who have returned to Italy with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with 987 operations from 119 countries: a work that continues relentlessly.
