“Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio, on a mission to the United Arab Emirates, has visited the Dubai EXPO 2020 site, meeting with the representatives of the World Expo organisers and the Italian Commissioner General for EXPO, Paolo Glisenti. The Minister has expressed Italy’s strong support for a successful exhibition, stressing how Italy is investing all the necessary resources to create an attractive Pavilion of great value, inspired by the principles of sustainability and circular economy and perfectly showcasing Italy’s technology and design.
The Dubai EXPO will offer an important platform to relaunch and strengthen economic and trade relations with all the participating countries. Exports are a fundamental pillar for Italy’s economic recovery: for this reason the Foreign Ministry, in the midst of this pandemic, has worked tirelessly to put into place a major project in support Italian companies, the “Pact for Export”, a comprehensive programme designed to providing our companies training, promotion and financial support at all stages of the internationalisation process.
