Deputy Minister Scalfarotto receives the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of San Marino at the Foreign Affairs Ministry

Today the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ivan Scalfarotto, has received the San Marino Secretary of State, Luca Beccari, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. The meeting has enabled them to get up to date on dealing with the matters on the Agenda of the two Countries’ Joint Commission, launched last October: financial cooperation; the radio/television collaboration agreement; collaboration on health matters, and the procurement of energy by San Marino.

Deputy Minister Scalfarotto has expressed his satisfaction with the positive conclusion of the last of these matters, which has been the first concrete result of the working method adopted. They have agreed that the upcoming meetings of the Joint Commission would be held at six-monthly intervals, with the next meeting planned for spring, during which they will be able to deal with further matters of common interest.

“Never have we had contact and meetings with San Marino as intensely as in recent months,” Deputy Minister Scalfarotto has pointed out after the meeting. “We have set up a new method for the two Countries to work together, which is already producing concrete results for managing and resolving the many common issues between the two Countries that are not only friends but, as I always say, also share the same home.”
