Speaking in Dubai at the Global Interfaith Summit, an event hosted by the Italian Pavilion of Expo Dubai 2020, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, said “Cooperation and dialogue between states and religious institutions are fundamental. During the pandemic, religious leaders raised their voices in defence of the poor and the most vulnerable, for an equitable distribution of vaccines. Governments and religious authorities can share responsibility for promoting solidarity, mutual understanding and cooperation, eradicating discrimination and intolerance. Inclusive, high quality education is the best antidote”. Deputy Minister Sereni also met Reem Al-Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and General Manager for Expo Dubai 2020.
