Vice Minister Marina Sereni carried out a mission in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She met the Vice Prime Minister Mohammad Al Khalifa, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Director-General of the Bahraini Authority for Antiquities, Hala Al Khalifa, and the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al Ansari.
The talks focused on the complex bilateral partnership, which was further enriched with the signing of the agreement to establish a Joint Commission, which the Vice Minister signed with her counterpart. Alongside the strengthening of bilateral relations, the Vice Minister also discussed the main dossiers on the international agenda in the region, including the Middle East, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Iran, human rights and the climate.
Together with Deputy Minister Al Khalifa, Sereni then inaugurated the Italy-Bahrain Business Council. It was established thanks to the commitment of our Ambassador in Manama, Paola Amadei, and which already includes many first-class Italian and Bahraini businesses.
Finally, the Vice Minister opened the exhibition ‘Diva! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery’, set up at the National Museum of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It includes over two hundred historical pieces of Italian jewellery.
