Deputy Minister Sereni opens the Italian-Palestinian Joint Business Forum

Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni will open the working session of the third Italian-Palestinian Joint Business Forum in Ramallah on Sunday, 1 December. Established in 2017 through an agreement between Confindustria Giovani and the Palestinian Federation of Business Associations, the Forum is a sign of the Palestinian Authority’s attention and appreciation for Italy’s commitment to support the socio-economic development of Palestine.

The presence of the Minister of the National Economy, Khaled Al-Esseily, bears witness to the importance that Palestine attributes to an event that has succeeded to become known as a forum of dialogue between Italian and local companies operating in a large number of sectors. The Forum will be attended by 50 members of Confindustria Giovani Imprenditori. On the fringes of the Forum, the President of Assafrica & Mediterraneo, Giovanni Ottati, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Palestinian Federation.

During the day, the Deputy Foreign Ministers is scheduled to meet with several Palestinian actors, including the PLO Executive Committee member and spokesperson, Hanan Ashrawi.

On Monday, 2 December, the Deputy Foreign Minister is due to see the Custos of the Holy Land, Rev. Francesco Patton, in Jerusalem and the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Israeli Government, Tzipi Hotovely.
