Benedetto Della Vedova, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina today and tomorrow, 10-11 February 2022.
The programme includes meetings with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Josip Brkić; the Bosnian Serb representative in the tripartite Presidency, Milorak Dodik; the President of the Party of Democratic Action (Bosnian initials SDA) and Deputy President of the House of Peoples, Bakir Izetbegović; and the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto. Discussions will focus on bilateral relations, the country’s domestic situation and the agenda of reforms needed for it to progress towards EU accession.
Della Vedova will also be meeting the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, and the EU’s Special Representative, Johann Sattler. A meeting with the representatives of the press and of civil society is planned in the margins of the official engagements.
