Minister Di Maio to co-chair the 5th Meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Italian and Croatian Ministers

On 24 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, will co-chair the 5th Plenary Meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Italian and Croatian Ministers with his Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlić Radman.

The two Ministers will make brief statements at the close of the meeting and will hold a bilateral meeting in the morning.

The Coordinating Committee, which will be attended by numerous representatives of the Governments of both Countries, will take stock of the future prospects of their bilateral cooperation. In this respect, the meeting schedules the signing of important documents and agreements to reinforce Italy-Croatia relations.

In the afternoon, Minister Di Maio and Minister Grlić Radman will open the first Italy-Croatia Business Forum which schedules three sector-specific sessions dedicated to: industrial processes and agribusiness, ICT and digitalization and infrastructure and mobility. The sessions will be followed by B2B meetings between Italian and Croatian companies that have confirmed their interest in participating in the business forum. The steep growth in trade recorded during the last few years is a tangible sign of the strong affinity and complementarity between the two Countries’ production systems, as also proven by the recent Italian investments in Croatia. The opening session of the Coordinating Committee and the statements to the press will be broadcast in live streaming on our social media channels.
