Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Giorgio Silli, is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain today to attend the 18th edition of IISS Manama Dialogue, a prestigious forum of debate focused on the issue of security in the Gulf area and in the Middle East.
The theme of this year’s Manama Dialogue is “Rules and Competition in the Middle East”, an extremely topical issue in a period of history in which international order is constantly threatened by the persisting war in Ukraine and other regional tensions.
On the sidelines of the Forum, Undersecretary Silli has several bilateral talks scheduled, including with Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and with the German Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tobias Lindner.
