Meeting of Secretary General, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi, with Serbian Ambassador Goran Aleksić

The Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi, had a cordial meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Goran Aleksić. During the meeting, the common commitment to strengthening cooperation between Italy and Serbia was highlighted, which will find an important opportunity for consolidation in the Business Forum scheduled for 21 March in Belgrade. Ambassador Sequi reiterated Italy’s full support for Serbia’s European integration process and Italy’s strong hope that Serbia and Kosovo can soon reach an agreement within the EU-facilitated Dialogue on the basis of the proposal presented by the European side. Finally, the Secretary General thanked Ambassador Aleksić for the great work done to consolidate relations between Rome and Belgrade, in line with the strategic partnership that binds the two countries.
