Italian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi spoke in Rome today at the 13th National Assembly of Conflavoro PMI (National Confederation of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) Presidents.
Focusing on the challenges facing Italian SMEs today, Undersecretary Tripodi recalled the Italian government’s commitment to providing Italian companies with tools and opportunities to support exports, “a strategic objective for our country thanks to the positive spin-offs in terms of turnover, employment and benefits for local areas”.
Undersecretary Tripodi then recalled that Italian companies achieved the figure of over EUR 624 billion in exports in 2022with the support of the public export support system, with a percentage increase of +36% compared to the records already achieved in 2021.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concluded the Undersecretary, is implementing a “diplomacy of growth” involving all the components of the economic system, promoting and protecting Italy’s production chains of excellence abroad and making the country increasingly attractive in terms of new investments, talent, and tourism.
