Undersecretary Tripodi meets SIDRI: the contribution of Italian researchers as an essential instrument of foreign policy

Italian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi met at the Farnesina a delegation of the Italian Research Doctorate Society (Società Italiana del Dottorato di Ricerca, SIDRI), led by President Antonio de Lucia. The fruitful meeting took stock of the activities of the Italian Research Doctorate Society in order to launch a collaboration between SIDRI and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, it provided an opportunity for in-depth reflection on new areas to expand strategic cooperation, starting with the interaction with the network of scientific attachés in the Embassies, whose recent strengthening by the Italian government was mentioned by Undersecretary Tripodi. The collaboration will be increasingly fruitful and marked by a systemic vision with the world of researchers, in order to continue the joint action in favour of the strengthening and enhancement of the Italian research system.
