The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and RAI today present the Sanremo Giovani World Tour, an initiative designed to promote young Italian musical talents around the world. The tour will take the four finalists of Sanremo Giovani 2025—Alex Wyse, Maria Tomba, Settembre, Vale LP, and Lil Jolie—abroad, offering them an important international showcase and strengthening the presence of our music in the global music scene.
This edition of the Sanremo Giovani World Tour will visit Montreal, Toronto, Miami, New York, and Chicago in the first half of May. The initiative will engage effectively with local cultural offerings through partnerships with prestigious theatres and the involvement of radio stations and media outlets within the industry. Since 2019, the SGWT has successfully promoted emerging artists from the Italian music scene, taking them to stages around the world with wide participation and strong audience engagement.
Culture is an extraordinary vehicle for building strong and fruitful international relationships: the Italian Foreign Ministry therefore dedicates considerable space to cultural diplomacy, with an increasing number of initiatives aimed at showcasing Italy’s immense historical, cultural, and literary heritage abroad. Culture also has a strong economic value, including sectors such as design and fashion, with an overall estimated worth of around €600 billion annually and more than 280,000 active businesses.
