Talks between Minister Tajani and Israeli Foreign Minister Saar and Father Gabriel Romanelli

Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani held a telephone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Saar, followed by a meeting with Father Gabriel Romanelli, parish priest of the Church of the Holy Family in Gaza. In his conversation with the Israeli Minister, Tajani reiterated Italy’s firm condemnation of the military attacks in the Gaza Strip affecting the civilian population, stressing that the situation in Gaza is intolerable for Italy Minister Tajani once again underlined the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further suffering among civilians. The Minister of Foreign Affairs called for full clarity regarding responsibility for the raid. He expressed solidarity with Father Romanelli and conveyed his full support for the victims affected.
