The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, is in Croatia to participate in the “Addressing the Change” segment of the Dubrovnik International Forum. The Minister will meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlić Radman.

The Forum will focus on dialogue and international cooperation as essential tools to ensure European security and stability, with a particular emphasis on identifying common solutions to ongoing conflicts, starting with the war in Ukraine. Key topics will also include the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkan countries, Africa’s role in the new global context, and the use of artificial intelligence in common defence policy.

The visit also offers an opportunity to reaffirm the excellent state of bilateral relations between Italy and Croatia, built upon a strong economic and commercial partnership and full alignment on major international issues. Italy is Croatia’s leading supplier and second-largest customer, with an export market share of 14.3%, surpassing that of its main competitors. Around 400 Italian-affiliated companies operate in the country, particularly in the industrial, textile, wood, financial, and insurance sectors.
