The Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Embassy in Croatia are bringing to Zagreb the play MEDEA, produced by Dario D’Ambrosi and his Teatro Patologico, in collaboration with Tor Vergata University of Rome.

Staged at the Zagreb Youth Theater (Zagrebački Kazalište Mladih), the play is a very special version of Euripides’ Medea, in which young people with mental disabilities and professional actors re-enact the myth on stage, enhancing the relationship between body and language.

Teatro Patologico is at the same time a form of therapy and of artistic and emotional expression, in which children with disabilities find their own space of expression as protagonists, weaving the threads of a beautiful and terrible tale, already performed in New York (Theater La Mama Etc, United Nations-UN), Tokyo (Yasuda Auditorium), Johannesburg (Market Theater), London (Wilton’s Music Hall), Brussels (European Parliament), Rome (Teatro Argentina, Teatro Quirino), Festival Borgio Verezzi (Liguria), Lecce (Teatro Apollo), Milan (Teatro Franco Parenti).
