On the occasion of the Doha leg of the Amerigo Vespucci, the Embassy of Italy contributed to the schedule of cultural events by organising two evening concerts and an exhibition open to the public for the duration of the “Villaggio Italia”, the structure adjoins the “most beautiful sailing ship in the world” that has hosted, among others, the aforementioned initiatives.
Following the inauguration of the Village, the “Navigando sotto le stelle” concert was held by the “Qatar Concert Choir & Friends” band, which led the audience through pieces from the operatic tradition and Italian cinematography, from an artistic initiative by Giovanni Pasini, first viola of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor of the “Qatar Concert Choir”.
“David Riccardo & Once Upon a Time Orchestra” gave life to the concert “Il Viaggio”, with a repertoire of mainly Italian music and songs.
