SPAZIO-D (DNA MADE IN ITALY), the area of about 130 square metres adjacent to the Italian Cultural Institute of Almaty, conceived and managed by the Embassy of Astana together with the Italian Cultural Institute and supported by ITA, dedicated to Italian design, hosted its first promotional module, consisting of three distinct events featuring three installations related to the participating companies.

The first event was focused on business in a cultural key, with the presentation of three Italian brands: Cerasa, Graniti Fiandre, and Stella Rubinetterie, in the presence of around 100 interior designers selected in collaboration with ITA. Speakers included architect Marco Poletti, in collaboration with Aziz AbdulmazhitovArt Guild and Graniti Fiandre; Monica De Riz, Export Sales Director for Cerasa, a bathroom furnishings company; Andrei Gringiuk, representing Graniti Fiandre, a producer of high-end full-body porcelain stoneware; and Rocco Ubertini, Foreign Sales for Stella Rubinetterie, the oldest Italian tap manufacturer founded in 1882.

The second event saw the participation of both the companies and interior designers in a meeting dedicated to new collaborations. A masterclass titled “Bathroom Trends 2025: creative ideas” was held by architects Domenico Rotolo and Marco Poletti, alongside Professor Giangabriele Fini and around 80 architecture and design university students.

During the final event, Ms Gala Makeyeva presented the three installations set up in Spazio-D to an audience of designers and university students.
