The Italian Cultural Institute of Dakar hosted a public programme to mark the conclusion of the exhibition Souvenir d’Italie, which was inaugurated during the 15th edition of the Biennale of Contemporary African Art, Dak’Art, and Partcours. Curated by Eugenio Viola, the exhibition featured works by Binta Diaw, Adji Dieye, and Délio Jasse.

The programme, curated and organised with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, aimed to strengthen the dialogue between the Italian and Senegalese contemporary art scenes, providing a platform for exchange between public and private institutions to foster new international collaborations for artists and curators.

The initiative included three roundtable discussions held at the Institute, featuring guests from both Italian and Senegalese institutions. These discussions explored key themes and encouraged dialogue on the role of culture as a driver of social, artistic, and environmental transformation.
