To mark the 30th anniversary of Hugo Pratt’s passing, the Université Catholique de Lyon is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Corto Maltese, open until 21 March. Following a stop at the Textile Arts Museum, this exhibition—organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lyon and the Fondazione Cong, with the support of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region—invites visitors to once again immerse themselves in the fantastic adventures of the legendary sailor.
The exhibition is enriched by various audiovisual materials, including an interactive map showcasing the real and imaginary locations linked to Corto Maltese, an interview with Hugo Pratt available in French and Italian with English subtitles, and several videos featuring the artist’s watercolour paintings.
Hosted on the Saint-Paul campus, the exhibition offers students an opportunity to draw inspiration from the adventurous life of a character who turned travel into a true philosophy of life.
