The Italian Cultural Institute and the Embassy of Italy in Tunis participated in the international festivalJournées des Arts de la Marionnette de Carthagewith the performancePiccolo Circo di Filo“, created by artist and choreographer Antonella D’Ascenzi, at the Théâtre des Régions in Tunis.

Piccolo Circo di Filo” is a dance and visual theatre production featuring puppets and video mapping, designed for young audiences. The show blends the world of dance and puppetry, stimulating the audience’s imagination through a highly immersive visual and sensory experience.

The performance tells the story of a puppet that dreams of becoming a tightrope walker to reach the moon. It presents a world where everyday objects come to life, transforming into real characters through the imagination of those who observe them.

The JAMC – Journées des Arts de la Marionnette de Carthage is one of the most important and widely followed cultural events in Tunisia, providing a prestigious platform for Italy’s creative industries in the field. The initiative is well known across the Maghreb and attracts theatre companies from Arab and Mediterranean countries, with an average annual attendance of around 10,000 spectators.
