On 20 March, the Open Day of the Italian Cultural Institute of Edinburgh was held at Italy House, the Institute’s new headquarters.
The Open Day followed the relocation of the Institute, which took place in February 2025, and the inaugural ceremony attended by the Ambassador of Italy to the United Kingdom, Inigo Lambertini, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Giorgio Silli, and the Directors-General, Luigi Maria Vignali and Nicandro Cascardi.
The Open Day, which saw a large turnout, was attended by Councillor Marco Maria Cerbo, Head of the Unit for the Coordination of Italian Cultural Institutes.
During the Open Day, participants had the opportunity to visit the new spaces of the headquarters, receive information about the Institute’s activities, and enjoy cultural, artistic, and musical offerings, such as the photographic exhibition “Letizia Battaglia. Cronaca, vita, amore“, the digital art exhibition “Immerse Yourself in Digital Art“, and two musical performances. Kety Fusco performed with her electric harp, while Motta, singer-songwriter and musician, held a concert in the Institute’s event room.
