Praga, in scena le musiche di Luigi Nono e Nicola Sani

The international ensemble ‘Klang Systematiek’ performed some particularly significant pieces from contemporary Italian music at the X10 Theatre in Prague: three pieces from the complete cycle “AchaB” for clarinet and electronics on 8 digital channels by Nicola Sani and “Io, Frammento dal Prometeo” (1981) by Luigi Nono.

Conducted by Marco Angius, the performances featured Maria Eleonora Caminada and Livia Rado (sopranos), Canticum Ostrava (choir), Daniel Havel (flute), Gareth Davis (clarinet and double bass), and Alvise Vidolin (live electronics), the latter of whom was among the performers at the premiere of “Io, Prometeo” in 1981 in Venice. The event was organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague and the CIDIM – Italian National Music Committee, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Prague and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
