The first edition of the Multiplicity Residency Award – Bremen will begin in 2025. This residency program will offer a researcher, writer, or translator an educational and professional experience on the theme of multiplicity, as described by Italo Calvino in the eponymous chapter of “Lezioni americane” (American Lessons) The program will include a one-month stay in Bremen, from May 15 to June 15, 2026.
The Award is promoted by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hamburg, in collaboration with the Senator für Kultur Freie Hansestadt Bremen, Bremen UNESCO City of Literature, and the German-Italian Society of Bremen (Deutsch-Italienische Gesellschaft Bremen).
