An exceptional opera recital, presented by the Arena di Verona Foundation, took place on Friday, November 28th, in the splendid setting of the Algiers Opera House. The concert, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Algiers and the local Embassy, featured several of the Foundation’s leading artists on stage, accompanied on piano by General Manager Cecilia Gasdia.
Soprano Eleonora Bellocci, soprano Marta Torbidoni, tenor Francesco Meli, and baritone Gëzim Myshketa captivated the Algerian audience with performances of some of the most famous pieces in the history of Italian opera, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
