On 3 December, in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona presented the multimedia artwork “Oculus Spei” by the Neapolitan artist Annalaura di Luggo, during the conference “Oculus Spei: Diversity, Inclusivity, Spirituality”.

The event used the artwork as a starting point to reflect on diversity and human dignity, highlighting the plurality of human experiences. It fostered a dialogue on new ways of inhabiting the world with greater awareness, empathy, and responsibility.

“Oculus Spei” was first presented on 3 December 2024 at the Pantheon in Rome, as a reflection on the role of hope through an ideal journey among the Holy Doors during the Jubilee Year.

The installation was selected by the National Committee for the Neapolis 2500 Celebrations and is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), celebrating the openness and inclusivity that are essential elements of Naples’ identity worldwide. On 11 November 2025, the artwork was also presented at the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro.
