Opening of “Italiani d’Europa” photo exhibition

Today the photographic exhibition “Gli Italiani d’Europa” will open at the presence of Undersecretary Ricardo Merlo and of the Director General for Italians Abroad, Luigi Maria Vignali. The exhibition is a multimedia project curated by the Akronos Association and co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and National Geographic Italia.

The pictures by Riccardo Venturi are accompanied by the texts of Lorenzo Colantoni to tell the story of Italians in Europe from the early 1900s to date. The project is articulated into four chapters: United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany and Eastern Europe.

A photographic album was developed for each one of the chapters, from which the photos now displayed in the corridors of the Farnesina and a web documentary were drawn.
