Among the recent acquisitions of the Farnesina Collection are two works by Franz Cerami – Mars (2021) and Venus I (2022) – belonging to the “Red Venus” series, which was exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Naples in 2022.
The Farnesina Collection is a collection of over 600 works of Italian art, ranging from the early 20th century to the present day, granted on free loan to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation by artists, museums, archives, foundations and other institutions. For over 20 years, the collection has been a fundamental instrument of cultural promotion, also through initiatives abroad.
