Next Friday, 24 January 2025, the first episode of “Espresso Radio“, the new podcast conceived by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will be released on the Italian Foreign Ministry’s Spreaker channel. The podcast is produced in collaboration with SIAE – the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers.

The format aims to promote the dissemination of contemporary Italian music abroad, leveraging the diplomatic and consular network as well as the Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide.

Espresso Radio” is a 10-episode radio programme recorded in both Italian and English. Each episode features a selection of Italian music tracks, includes an interview with an artist, and focuses on a specific genre, with particular attention to the latest musical releases. The tracks are introduced and narrated by Carlo Pastore, who takes listeners on a journey to discover the contemporary Italian music scene.

Episodes will be published on Spreaker every Friday until 28 March 2025 and will also be promoted through the programme’s dedicated Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/espresso__radio/

This initiative reaffirms the Italian Foreign Ministry’s commitment to cultural diplomacy in support of the internationalisation of the contemporary Italian music scene. It also highlights a determination to reach diverse audiences, especially younger generations, by embracing new languages and innovative forms of expression.

The collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and SIAE on this project, designed to explore the many facets of contemporary Italian music, underscores their dedication to supporting Italian talent, particularly young artists, on an international stage.
