At the initiative of Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi, the Foreign Ministry and the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) have launched the Women in Diplomacy School. The School, whose goal is to facilitate access to international careers for young women in the Maghreb countries, will hold its first session in Rome from 25 February to 1 March 2013. Twenty young women from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Libya, selected by the Italian Embassy network, will be attending the course.
The opening session will take place at the Farnesina from 9.15 to 12.30 on 25 February 2013. It will be introduced by the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Marta Dassù, and by the Secretary General, Ambassador Michele Valensise. It will be open to the press.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the opening session should use the online accreditation system. Please complete the interactive form available at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, to which all required documentation not already submitted must be attached in digital format.
