Recall Nota di accreditamento VI Conferenza Italia – America Latina e Caraibi (Farnesina, 12 e 13 dicembre 2013)

The 6th Italy–Latin America and Caribbean Conference will be taking place at the Farnesina on 12 and 13 December 2013. The conference will be opened at 09.00 on Thursday 12 December by Foreign Minister Emma Bonino, who will also close the event, at 12.00 on Friday 13 December.


Photographers and television crews can follow the conference directly in the conference hall, while journalists can follow proceedings over the closed circuit system, in the Ministry’ssalle d’écoute.


Representatives of the governments of Latin American countries, senior members of the main international and regional organisations, and eminent members of the Italian institutions and economic and business communities will be attending.


The two-yearly event is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Italy-Latin American Institute (Italian initials IILA). This year’s conference will be divided into four sessions, focusing on the following subjects:


I) renewing the Italy–Latin America and Caribbean dialogue: looking beyond the crisis to a partnership for development;


II) competitiveness, innovation and new technologies: public policies to promote small and medium-sized enterprises;


III) regional development, environmental sustainability and social and economic inclusion;


IV) the EU–CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) dialogue: role and outlook.

Online accreditation system. Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should:


– complete the interactive form available athttp://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp


– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format

– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.

Accreditation badges can be collected in person on presentation of a valid ID at the Accreditation Office (Via Macchia della Farnesina entrance) according to the following schedule:


Thursday 12 December:


From 08.00 and no later than 08.30 (for photographers and TV crews going directly to the conference hall)


From 08.30 until 18.00 (journalists, photographers and TV crews going to thesalle d’écoute).


Friday 13 December:


From 08.00 and no later than 08.30 (for photographers and TV crews going directly to the conference hall)


From 08.30 until 12.00 (journalists, photographers and TV crews going to thesalle d’écoute).
