A conference on “Being LGBTI in today’s world” will take place at the Farnesina on Friday 16 May from 9.30 to 18.30. The conference will be opened by the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova.
The event will be divided into four panels:
9.45: The rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Transexual and Intersexed (LGBTI) people in the international context
11.30: Culture, society and sexual orientation and gender identity
14.30: Legal protection of LGBTI people’s rights
16.30: Being LGBTI in today’s world
Participants will include associations, political figures, representatives of civil society and of foreign diplomatic missions in Rome, and members of the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights.

– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format
Required documentation:
– a letter from your media organisation
– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.
