ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Meeting of the “Critical Tuesdays” cycle (Farnesina, 26 April 2016)

On Tuesday, 26 April, at 6 p.m., the Farnesina will host a meeting of the “Critical Tuesdays” cycle, a project launched in 2010 on the basis of a proposal by Art History professor and critic Alberto Dambruoso. The project envisages weekly meetings aimed at stimulating reflections and debate based on the active presence of artists, thus creating a forum open to the public.

The special guest at the event will be artist Giorgio Griffa, who has recently given an artwork on loan to the Farnesina’s Art Collection, and who will debate with Alberto Dambruoso and with journalist and art critic Helga Marsala.

The initiative is part of a broader cultural diplomacy project – including the Foreign Ministry’s Open Door Days, the collaboration with the Google Cultural Institute and, more recently, the membership in Open House Roma – aimed at giving greater visibility to the Farnesina’s Art Collection, by attracting an ever-greater variety of visitors to its exhibition space.

The “Critical Tuesdays” formula has become a consolidated format successfully experimented in contemporary art institutions, including in Rome’s MAXXI and MACRO museums, in the Pecci Museum in Milan and in the MADRE Museum in Naples.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Embassy in Rome of the media organisation’s Country).

If it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications should be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210).

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry from the main entrance– left-hand side – from 5:15 p.m.
