On 2 February, at 12.00 p.m., the “Election Portal” will be presented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. It was developed by the Farnesina as a more systematic guide for the overseas network for the complex voting procedures.
The Director General for Italians Abroad, Luigi Maria Vignali, will make the presentation, exactly one month prior to the closing of voting operations for Italians abroad at 4.00 p.m. local time on 1 March.
The Portal was developed through the cooperation between the Directorate General for Management and Information and Communications Technology (DGAI) and the Directorate General for Italian Citizens Abroad and Migration Policies (DGIT). It is proving to be a useful, innovative instrument for internal use, assuring a more efficient management of the upcoming election foreign voting processes, and acting as a real “radar” ensuring a capillary control over every phase of the election cycle.
