PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
XI Steering Committee for Internationalisation – Farnesina, 16 February 2023
On Thursday, 16 February 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the International Conference Hall of Farnesina will host the XI meeting of the Steering Committee for Internationalisation, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso.
Under the Italian law, the Steering Committee is the body in charge of adopting and enforcing the guidelines and strategic policy for the promotion of the Made in Italy defined by the CIMIM – Comitato per il Made in Italy nel Mondo (Committee for Made in Italy in the World), a body recently set up by the Government, whose first meeting was held at Farnesina on 26 January 2023.
The Steering Committee will also be attended by ex officio members: the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, as well as many associations including: Unioncamere, ABI, Confindustria, Alleanza delle Cooperative italiane, CONFAPI – Confederazione italiana della piccola e media industria private, Confartigianato Imprese and Confcommercio.
In addition to the ex officio members, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of University and Research, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, and the Presidents of the bodies making up the public internationalisation support system (CDP, SACE, SIMEST, ICE-Agenzia and ENIT) have also been invited to this year’s meeting. Representatives of the signatories of the Pact for Export will also join the meeting as invited guests.
The Steering Committee will end with the adoption of a Strategic Document outlining the main action plans for 2023, as well as the geographical areas and key markets for the promotion of Italian products and support for the internationalisation of the Italian entrepreneurial system.
There will be no live coverage of the meeting.

For representatives of the Italian press:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, on 16 February from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
The use of FFP2 masks is encouraged.
