Political Love as an Instrument of Peace and Democracy” Conference
(Farnesina, 11 December 2024)
On Wednesday 11 December 2024, the conference “Political Love as an Instrument of Peace and Democracy”, organised by Ente Nazionale per il Microcredito, will be held at the Farnesina in Rome.
The event, which will be entirely open to the press, will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be introduced by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.
Speeches by Mario Baccini, President of Ente Nazionale per il Microcredito, and Card. Matteo Zuppi, President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, are also scheduled. The conference will be moderated by the journalist and professor of Vatican geopolitics Piero Schiavazzi.
The conference “Political Love as an Instrument of Peace and Democracy” seeks to deepen the link between peace, democracy and unity, understood as harmony in interpersonal relations, in line with the Church’s social doctrine and the vision of a system of international relations based on unity among people, the common good and overcoming inequalities.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Tuesday 10 December at 6:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:
For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday 11 December.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
