UPDATE PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
SOUTHERN HYDROGEN CORRIDOR
MINISTERIAL MEETING AND BUSINESS FORUM
(Villa Madama, 21 January 2025)
On Tuesday, 21 January 2025, at 9:00 a.m., Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, together with the Minister of Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto, will inaugurate the Ministerial Meeting on the Southern Hydrogen Corridor at Villa Madama. At the conclusion of the Ministerial Meeting, a Joint Declaration will be signed, an event open to photographers and cameramen.
Subsequently, Ministers Tajani and Pichetto will open the Business Forum with sector enterprises, a session open to press participation. The event will focus on the “Southern Hydrogen Corridor” (South H2) project, with a particular emphasis on the production and consumption chain of hydrogen, technological developments in the sector, and European opportunities related to the energy transition in the Mediterranean.
On the sidelines of the event, the two Ministers may provide brief statements to the press.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event can apply for accreditation by sending a request, by 5:00 p.m. on Monday 20 January, by e-mail to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 8210 – 8573 or 3432), as follows:
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
For representatives of the Italian press organisations:
– a copy of an identity document,
– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
– copy of an identity document;
– letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
Badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, central entrance, left side, between 8:30 a.m. and approximately 9:00 a.m.
As it is not possible to reach Villa Madama with private vehicles, accredited journalists will be transported to Villa Madama via a shuttle service operating from the central entrance of the Farnesina (round trip), available until the conclusion of the event.
