PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE

“Women of my time”

(Farnesina, 09 March 2026)

On Monday, 9 March at 11:00 p.m., the event “Women of my time” will take place in the International Conference Hall at the Farnesina.

The event is organised in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026.

An opening speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, is expected. This will be followed by speeches by President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola (video message), the candidate for the 2021 and 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, Sviatlana Hieorhiyeuna Tsikhanouskaya, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Diane Keita, Director General for Political Affairs and International Security/Deputy Secretary General Cecilia Piccioni, Director of “La Nazione” and “Quotidiano Nazionale” Agnese Pisi and by the Manager of state-recognised schools, Sister Anna Monia Alfieri. At 12:00 p.m., Undersecretary Maria Tripodi is due to make the closing speech.

The event, organised by the Office of the Minister’s Ecclesiastical Advisor, will be moderated by journalist Monica Giandotti.

The speeches will be open to the press and will be streamed live via the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs YouTube channel.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the event may apply for accreditation by 5:00 p.m. on Friday 6 March. Registration must be completed through the press accreditation portal attaching the required documentation. Those who are already registered on the online portal and have received confirmation of their registration may access their profile and select participation in the event.

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina through the main entrance, left side, between 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 p.m.
