The Embassy in Washington hosted the meeting of the representatives of the Italian community

The Italian Embassy in Washington hosted the annual meeting of the representatives of the Italian community in the United States. The meeting focused on promoting the Italian language, the services provided to the community, the activities of the consular network and its collaboration with the elected representatives. Among the representatives of the Italian community in the United States there was Senator Francesca Alderisi and MP Francesca La Marca, both elected in the North America electoral district, the delegates of the 10 COMITES (Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Washington) and the two Councillors of the CGIE (General Council of Italians Abroad).

“Our relationship with the United States is stronger than ever in many sectors,” said Italian Ambassador Armando Varricchio, underscoring the contribution that the representatives of the Italians abroad make to the political, economic, cultural and social life of their Hosting Country.

Ambassador Varricchio went on: “No matter if they are Italians who have just come to the US on business, to complete their studies or research projects, explore the new frontiers of technology or launch ambitious start-ups, or Americans vaunting their Italian descent, even remote in time, they all find in their elected representatives, adequate attention for their needs and strong networking with Italy.”
