Italy, Cultures, the Mediterranean in the Church of Saint Catherine in Bethlehem
A concert in the Church of Saint Catherine in Bethlehem was the closing event of the ‘Italy, Cultures, the Mediterranean’ 2018 programme organised by the Italian Consulate General in Jerusalem. The performance featured the European Union Youth Orchestra conducted by Maestro Paolo Olmi with the ‘Le voci liriche’ and ‘Ildebrando Pizzetti’ choirs. The concert programme included Vivaldi’s Concerto for two trumpets and orchestra in C Major and the Gloria in D Major. Present at the concert were the Undersecretary of State for Cultural Heritage, Lucia Borgonzoni, the Italian Consul General, Fabio Sokolowicz and the Mayor of Bethlehem, Anton Saiman, in addition to numerous heads of mission in Jerusalem and Ramallah.
