Aneta Kalertova and Lenka Berkesova will represent the Czech Republic and Slovakia at Sanremo’s Ariston Theatre at the finale of Sanremo Junior, one of the most prestigious international contests for solo singers between 6 and 15 years of age. The two young singers, respectively 13 and 12 years old, were the stars of a special event at the Hybernia Theatre in Prague, organised by Moonlight Production, s. r. l. & Bon Art Music, SE, in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague. The 13 finalists were selected by a jury formed by famous local singers and artists and the event was also attended by the Sanremo Municipal Councillor for Tourism, Marco Sarlo.
Sanremo Junior, this year at its 10th edition, started at the initiative of the Italian company Kismet and is sponsored by the Municipality of Sanremo and by UNICEF and aims to disseminate and promote music and singing among the very young, by putting them in contact with professionals of the sector in an international context. The finale will be held on 1 May.
